Great ways to detox your mind
We are always in a hurry, time is not enough; even when a global pandemic put us on pause, you feel saturated with work and obligations. Sometimes it can be overwhelming, like if we have a plug in our minds that does not allow us to create new experiences or make strategies to get out of our comfort zone and set goals that will take us from a monotonous cycle to a super exciting one.
We need to empower and challenge ourselves. There is a simple way to get out of that fatigue called “daily living” for a while. When I feel lack energy, the first thing I do is withdraw from all the electronics.
The saturation of light, news, and audio-visual pollution often leads me to be sedentary for long periods of time. This, definitely, does not contribute to my relaxation, and neither my sight nor my mind rest at all, and many times we miss that happens in our environment.
I recommend taking quality time for yourself, where you are the protagonist of the film and create your own scenario.
Sometimes that is as powerful as walking, admiring your surroundings, taking several deep breaths, listening to instrumental music or enjoying a nice cup of tea, just sit back and reflect how great your day will be.
I always write positive messages that come to my mind when I wake up and start collecting them. I visualize them as an energy booster journal to remind me how I should visualize life in a positive manner; then, only then, I am ready to go on my day. Meditating, relaxing and having silent moments are important too to detoxify our minds, prepare them on a daily basis for a new and great beginning.
I would like to recommend you a great book in order to keep you working on you mind detox “The Miracle Morning” by Hal Elrod.
